A memorial Service for Burke will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011, at the Crossroads Community Church in Nampa. Interment will follow at the Melba Cemetery. Burke was born in Fairfield, Idaho, on September 3, 1924, he was the son of Pete and Elise Neeley. He attended school there. After graduating from high school, he attended Idaho State University and then joined the United States Marine Corp Sixth Division in 1944. He served in the Pacific theater at Guam, Okinawa, and China. His love for Camas Prairie was always strong. After the service, he returned to Fairfield to farm with his father. There he met the new teacher in town, Jackie Morris, who "swept him off of his feet." They were married on December 24. 1950, and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past year. For many winters, Burke worked for Prairie Power, driving a snow plow to keep the lines clear. Burke and Jackie had four children. Family was important. He worked long hours, but rarely missed any of his children's activities He was always very involved in their lives, even up to the time of his passing. During retirement, Burke and Jackie spent time traveling in their motorhome. They also spent a number of winters in Arizona. In Nampa, they were integral part of the Gold Crest Community and loved living there. Burke loved being a farmer. He continued to farm at Fairfield and Hill City until 1962, when he moved the family to Nampa and began to farm at Dry Lake. He was a partner in White Sage Farms until 1980. He then was a foreman for Cleo Miller until retiring. Burke continued to help his son, Chad, on his farm as long as he was able. Burke was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years. He served on the board there and was instrumental in donating that building to Cornerstone Community Church, where he attended faithfully. Being a grandfather and great grandfather was his favorite role and brought him much joy. His two granddaughters were the pride of his life. He was crazy about his four great grandchildren and had the privilege of meeting the youngest one in the last month. She was adopted from Ethiopia and he savored following her adoption process. Burke Neeley was not a man who needed a lot of attention. He knew who he was. He was honorable, loyal, and humble. He was faithful to his wife, Jackie, and to his family and he loved and trusted his Lord. Clifford James Griffith

Clifford James Griffith, 80, of Nampa, passed away at home on Sunday, April 17, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Cliff was born on Dec. 21, 1930, in Lansing, Mich., to Clifford and Caroline (Hammond) Griffith. He spent his childhood days growing up on a farm in nearby Dimondale. He went to a one room school for the first eight grades and then went on to graduate from Dimondale High School. Cliff was a true genius and entered Michigan State University at the age of 16. He graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1950. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Detroit. One day he spotted a beautiful blonde-haired young woman named Clarice Arlene Torikka, who was walking down the street on her way to work. He stopped and asked if she would like a ride, which she accepted. The next day he called and invited her to attend a football game as his date. While there, Cliff proceeded to tell Clarice that she was the girl he intended to marry. His dream came true and Cliff and Clarice were married on Sept. 11, 1952, in Laurium, Mich. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Oakland California temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cliff was an engineer extraordinaire who could design just about anything. His career spanned nearly five decades of working for some of the most well-known companies in America. He was especially proud of a line of farm machinery he designed for International Harvester and of the bendable Barbie doll legs, which he designed for Mattel Toys. He held several patents for inventions which he created in his spare time. Cliff enjoyed fly fishing, hunting and traveling. He was an avid reader who loved books about history, especially ones about the founding fathers of our nation. He was a very patriotic man. Cliff was an excellent photographer, who left a lifetime legacy of photos for his family to enjoy. He was an accomplished banjo player, a computer wizard, and a man who enjoyed writing poetry. Cliff was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a love for the work done in the temples. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Clarice, and his four children: Suzanne (Reese) Leavitt of Melba, John Griffith of South Carolina, Kathleen (Roman) Montague of California, and Jim (Becky) Griffith of Mississippi. He has 14 grandchildren whom he adored: Hollie, Kristina, Alisa, Derek, Nichole, Kailee, Weston, Kara, Roman, Avonlea, Cimmaron, Lauren, Justin, and Shelby, and two special great-grandsons, Jaden and Sawyer. Cliff is also survived by two sisters: Doris (Al) Taylor and Norma Fredline of Michigan, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Adler of California. Our family would like to give thanks to Bobbie Thomas of Treasure Valley Hospice and the firemen of Station 2 in Nampa for their kind service to Dad during the last stages of his life. Cremation is under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd., Nampa, Ida. A private family internment will be held at a later date.

Ellis McRoberts

Ellis Cody McRoberts 1925 - 2011 Ellis Cody McRoberts. 85 of Boise passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father whom he had served faithfully for 65 years on Saturday April 16. 2011 surrounded by the love of his family. A graveside service with military honors by the Idaho Army National Guard of Twin Falls will be conducted at the West End Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho on Friday April 22, 2011 at 12:00 noon. A public viewing will be held on Thursday April 21, 2011 at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Rd., Boise from 4:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating Ellis's life will be held the end of May in Boise following his grandson's return from Iraq. Ellis Cody McRoberts was born in Manes, Missouri November 10, 1925, the son of Ray and Clementine Woolard McRoberts. He was the sixth of eleven children. Ellis moved with his family at the age of 10 to Buhl, Idaho where he grew up on the family farm and after his school day he would work with his brothers performing the many kinds of farm duties including driving the 4 horse team and caring for 40 head of livestock. His senior year of High School was interrupted by WWII, when he was drafted March 1944 to serve with the US Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theater leaving his two older brothers to help their father on the family farm. Eventually all three would be serving their country at the same time for the cost of freedom. Ellis was honorably discharged in April 1946. He returned to Buhl where he was employed by Morrison Knudsen Co. and later Shield's Bean and Warehouse. Ellis began attending the Buhl Church of the Nazarene with his mother and met his first sweetheart Harriet H. Sievers of Twin Falls. They were married August 17, 1947 in Buhl and to this union there were three sons, Kenneth Lee, Keith J., and Steven Ray. Ellis committed his life to serving his Lord and Savior. Answering the call to full-time ministry, he completed the ministerial course of study through Northwest Nazarene College (now NNU) and was ordained an Elder by the church of the Nazarene in May of 1966. He pastored churches in Eastern Oregon and Parma, Idaho until his wife's illness required him to resign and move his family to Boise where she could receive the needed medical care for breast cancer. Harriet passed away in September of 1972. In October of 1973 Ellis met his second sweetheart. Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Conrad and they were married March 1974 at Boise First Church of the Nazarene where they had been introduced by Ellis's cousin. In 1978 Ellis and Betty became charter members of the Boise Five Mile Church of the Nazarene and continued to serve faithfully in an active and supportive roll to the ministry of this church. He also continued his employment as a glazier, retiring from Ponderosa Paint and Glass in 1993. After retirement Ellis and Betty enjoyed entertaining friends and family in their home and traveling, especially to favorite places on the Oregon Coast, but nothing was more beautiful to see than their own State of Idaho. Ellis treasured the simple things in life, his family, friends and church. He loved people and people loved him. He was a jokester and had a very infectious laugh. He would drive out of his way for an ice cream cone and spent hours putting together thousand piece Thomas Kincaid jigsaw puzzles, many of which have been preserved and framed. Ellis is survived by his wife Betty of 37 years, his sister Jeanette Pilant (Harvey) of Twin Falls, his brother Darrell (Joyce) of Meridian, his sons Kenneth (Gigi) of Yuma. AZ. Keith (Jennifer) Meridian; Steven (Ethel) Boise, Grandchildren Tonnie McRoberts Bonners Ferry, ID, Bryan Ellis McRoberts Nampa, Major Cody McRoberts (Teresa) Boise, Kellie (Matt) LaBonte Boise, step grandchildren Zachery Mallavia, Northhampton, MA and Ryan Mallavia, Phoenix, AZ, Great-Grandchildren Nicholas, Mitchell and Makayla Vandenberg, Trevor and Dominick McRoberts, Josh and Cassie McRoberts, Syvanna, Lanie and Madilyn LaBonte and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Harriet, brothers Carl, Earl, Fred, Don, and sisters Verna Sullens, Vada Freeman, Winnie Walker, June Ainsworth, Great-Grandson Nathaniel Vandenberg and his angel babies infant Great-Granddaughters Angela and Alyssa LaBonte and infant Great-Grandson Isaiah LaBonte. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Boise Rescue Mission or the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries through the Meridian Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene or your favorite charity. His battle and struggle with Dementia is over and the life with Christ has begun. Although he will be greatly missed, we rejoice in his home going. No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love Him. I Corinthians 2:9. Rosemary Dancer

Rosemary Dancer 1931 - 2011 A quiet lady slipped her earthly bonds and with grace went to a better life with our heavenly father. Rosemary Dancer was born November 25, 1931 in Junction City, Kansas to Ed and Katherine Lambert, who were later divorced. She spent her early childhood years with her Mother but lost her at the age of eight. Rosemary then returned to live with her Father. She graduated from Rossville High School in Rossville, Kansas, and then attended Business College in Topeka, Kansas where she started her career with a local bank. She moved to Coffeyville, Kansas during the mid-fifties, working for Parkersburg Rig and Reel. While in Coffeyville she met and later married Jack Dancer, a marriage lasting for fifty-three years. She is survived by her husband Jack, daughters Dana Dancer, Boise, Julie Walker, Meridian (husband Duane and sons Ethan and Eric Walker), and son Rick Dancer, Gilbert, Arizona (son Brian Aragon, daughters Dasia Dancer and Jacque McMurry and her husband Shawn McMurry). Rosemary returned to the banking world in Winfield, Kansas aiding her husband to finish college. They returned to Coffeyville where she became, as she most wanted to be, a full time mother and housewife. However, in 1984 she became Jack's business partner in a financial services agency. She said she would give him ten years but stayed for twelve. During this time she enjoyed traveling to many parts of the United States and the world. Rosemary gained a great reputation for her integrity and correctness in the money affairs of their agency. A major dispute was settled with an influential company by a third party stating "just pay what Rosemary says you owe". After her retirement she returned to her first love as mother, grandmother and wife, working in her yard and caring for her home. She continued to enjoy travel with the El Korah Nomads, visiting friends and relatives, and other special trips in their travel trailer. A beautiful lady both inside and out, she will be sorely missed. Memorial services are planned for Saturday, April 23 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 704 S. Latah, Boise, Id 83705 at 1:00pm with Reverend Holladay Sanderson presiding. In lieu of flowers, and if so desired, please make contributions to All Saints Episcopal Church, The Episcopal Foundation at 1858 W. Judith, Boise, Id 83705, or The El Korah Shrine at 118 W.
